Most people will tell you that there are only two actively developed web browsers, Firefox and Chromium, and that all others are built on the source code of one of these two (or at least their rendering engine). But I'm aware of at least 2 working browsers that (AFAIK) are not based on either;

At some point I really must get a Disintermedia blog set up again, to replace the one that died with CoActivate.org. Threads like this, where people school me on stuff I got wrong or didn't know, are great raw material for a blog post.
