mastodon.nzoss.nz is one of the many independent Mastodon servers you can use to participate in the fediverse.
This is a mostly te reo Māori and English language instance, for folks in Aotearoa New Zealand. We talk a lot about openness, technology, and improving our society. Helping folk associated with Aotearoa New Zealand engage in the Fediverse since 2017.

Thanks for the clarification. Some people may not have known these things.

I know. Having been here longer than Mastodon has existed and seen some of the interactions Mike's had with rest of the verse, I understand the motivation.

Strypey

But saying things don't have names is like saying they don't exist. It's paradoxical. People need words for thing. Putting brackets around the name to conform to this self-contradiction adds friction, with no identifiable benefit.

If the repo is labelled streams, most people are going call the software Streams. Whether Mike likes it or not.

Right, so why is it not in AP and therefore in all AP software? Because Mike has communicated in these idiosyncratic and often spikey ways, making him *very* hard to work with. So his pioneering innovations haven't made it into the rest of the verse as often as they deserve.

Which frustrates everyone.

> Mike is actually a big contributor to FEP-ef61

Good for him.
