william.maggos<p>When Dems complain that they lost because the left did not compromise and vote for them in the general, we need to be able to come back at them about refusing to support FFV <a href="https://liberal.city/tags/RankedChoiceVoting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RankedChoiceVoting</span></a>.</p><p>Let's create the future where hating each other over politics, whatever our ideology or partisanship, is bad politics.</p>

william.maggos<p>TIL the NYC general election for mayor is not decided by <a href="https://liberal.city/tags/RankedChoiceVoting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RankedChoiceVoting</span></a>. So Adams getting out weakens Mamdani. Ugh.</p><p>We need FFV RCV everywhere. Have a preliminary election that is easy to qualify for. The top five vote getters move on to the RCV general. Ian Kluft ✅🖥️📡<p>I missed the news back in June about a documentary "The Choice" about <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/RankedChoiceVoting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RankedChoiceVoting</span></a> in its first use in <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/Portland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Portland</span></a>, <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/Oregon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Oregon</span></a>. (I was away on a road trip with a friend when this was in the news.) It observed changes to campaigns, outreach to voters on how RCV works &amp; addition of district covering areas previously ignored on the east side. The results show apparent success with a council more similar to the population. Added to my earlier thread about <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/RCV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RCV</span></a>. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJEKUNFfIBE" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">youtube.com/watch?v=SJEKUNFfIBE</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/USpol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>USpol</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/PNW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PNW</span></a></p>

ProRep Coalition<p>How to actually win the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/gerrymandering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gerrymandering</span></a> wars, cont. Pass the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/FairRepresentationAct" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FairRepresentationAct</span></a> for the US House.
