mastodon.nzoss.nz is one of the many independent Mastodon servers you can use to participate in the fediverse.
This is a mostly te reo Māori and English language instance, for folks in Aotearoa New Zealand. We talk a lot about openness, technology, and improving our society. Helping folk associated with Aotearoa New Zealand engage in the Fediverse since 2017.

R.L. Dane :Debian: :OpenBSD: 🍵<p>Ok, strange. Now on both <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/enafore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>enafore</span></a> and <span class="h-card"><a href="https://polymaths.social/@orbitalmartian" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>orbitalmartian</span></a></span>'s Orbitalfore, when I try to re-select markdown formatting when editing a toot, it just cancels the edit.</p>
Strypey<p>A couple of updates on my fediverse app testing.</p><p>Big thanks to the person who clued me into <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/Enafore" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Enafore</span></a> being the actively maintained Pinafore fork. It&#39;s now my main web app, and I recently noticed that post editing has been added 🥳</p><p>I occasionally use <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/Tuba" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Tuba</span></a> on my laptop, running Fedora GNU/Linux with Mate, installed from repos. It has potential, but it&#39;s a bit limited. Turning off notifications doesn&#39;t seem to work on Fedora any better than it did on Trisquel.</p><p>(1/2) </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/FediverseApps" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FediverseApps</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/FediTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FediTips</span></a></p>
🇨🇦Samuel Proulx🇨🇦<p><span>Yay, my commits to </span><a href="https://fed.interfree.ca/tags/iceshrimp" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#iceshrimp</a><span>.net to improve some </span><a href="https://fed.interfree.ca/tags/accessibility" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#accessibility</a><span> were merged! Now it's just the dropdown menus to fix. Not that I use the frontend myself; I'd rather third party apps like </span><a href="https://fed.interfree.ca/tags/enafore" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#enafore</a><span>. Still, though, I enjoyed setting up a dev environment and learning a bit about </span><a href="https://fed.interfree.ca/tags/blazor" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#blazor</a><span>, and think I'll use it for another project I'm half way through starting.</span></p>
