Then they they wanted to break encryption to stop it being used by ransomware attackers, catfish, and other scammers. But I was not a scammer, so I said nothing.

Then they wanted to break encryption to catch tax fraudsters and drug dealing gangsters. But I was not a fraudster or a gangster, so I said nothing.

Then they wanted to break encryption to monitor people they accused of being Nazis. But I was certainly against Nazis, so I said nothing.

Then they wanted to break encryption to expose the degenerates, queers, trannies, and uppity coloureds. By this point I was getting scared, but I wasn't kinky, gay, trans or a PoC, so I said nothing.

So when they broke encryption to catch people who criticise the govt, there was no one left to speak for me.
