Ironic that Chinese leaders are starting to embrace a liberal arts education, just as governments in anglophone countries are moving away from it, towards a narrow focus on STEM subjects. Probably not a coincidence that China is in a phase of rapid economic and technical ascent, while the anglophone world stagnates and declines.

I get kids in The Lab who have done their various STEM exams. Never heard of Ohms Law. Don't know what a musical chord is. Don't know how many mm in a cm. Can't figure out how many percent to scale something by to make it the right size. They do when they leave The Lab though.
