Looks like Tohatoha have negotiated a funding extension with InternetNZ, which will keep the lights on until June:

Maybe one cause of their funding struggles is a lack of clear and consistent identity and purpose? That press release says:
"Tohatoha works to develop and deliver evidence-based counter misinformation education to teachers and librarians, offer professional policy advice to government and to support communities harmed by online hate."
This is quite different from their historical role supporting CC, and the description on the about page:
