My wife and I are going through a bit of a rough time at the moment. We're privileged to be in a better position than a lot of people right now, but we're stuck indefinitely outside our country of residence (China) and surfing from couch to couch. Most of our money is in a Chinese bank account we can't access while outside China (looong story). If anyone can offer me some paid work I can do remotely from (), that would really help.

If the only way you can help is a boost, cool :)

My skills are mainly in community management, UX, and communications;
* organized testing and feedback (like the VOICE group)
* bug triage
* writing blog posts or website copy
* researching software options for integration or community-hosting infrastructure
* networking with other projects
* maintaining wiki and other documentation.
* user outreach

In short, I'm a middleware layer between busy, coders and the world beating a path to their door.

Available now for remote work.

Just to be clear, you don't want to let me contribute code or sysadmin, let alone pay me for them ;)

Sorry to hear that.

It might help to state your strengths and skills. I.e. what kind of work can you do remotely for people?

@jcbrand Fair :) I'm in the process of rebuilding Disintermedia, including my CV page, after the heat death of CoActivate. I will post a follow up to my job-beg post when that's done.

@strypey Once it is availale please be sure to mention me to draw my attention to that. I would like to review it and see if what opportunities might be possible.

@strypey @jxself

Thanks, I've forwarded that to someone who does a lot of research on FOSS projects and who works with freelancers all over the world.

Over the years he's helped me a lot with Converse.js and paid for various open source features.

I can't guarantee anything of course.
