@a000d4f7a91939d0e71df1646d7a48 AFAIK Purism don't cheat, they just fork and rebrand (as IceCat does with Firefox for example) and @Blort is blowing smoke.

It's totally routine for businesses to deploy Wordpress or Drupal without giving any prominent credit to those projects. GNU/Linux distributions include hundreds of pieces of other people's software in their branded product, nobody bats an eyelid. It's totally normal for web apps like Mastodon to include upstream components without users being any the wiser. What is it about @purism that makes some people so keen to bash them for doing the same?
