On days like today (hot!) I'm pleased we invested in excellent heat pumps and solar panels - guilt-free (and carbon-neutral) cooling, using the power of the very sun that's overheating things.

@lightweight Certainly a binary contrast to all the air conditioners running in cities in China and India using coal-fired power.

@phil Yes, although I'm very aware that my solar panels were manufactured in/near Singapore, but they were a single use of carbon-emitting fuel to produce many years of carbon neutral electricity... but reality is we have to spend carbon to save carbon... we just have to make sure that the carbon we spend is actually for the purpose of saving carbon.
