One cool way for InternetNZ to strike a blow for a more open, uncapturable Internet for NZers... would be to use an NZ-based #FOSS surveying tool to ask its members how it's doing rather than a proprietary overseas tool like SurveyMonkey. I and the NZOSS would be happy to help - they could use the NZOSS' on-shore survey.nzoss.nz survey tool (an instance of the superb LimeSurvey)... There're plenty of other examples of how we could easily make the Internet in NZ more open for *all*.
And no Internet users would even need to sacrifice their personal sovereignty, privacy, and rights (as is required every time we contribute any content to an overseas proprietary online service) to participate... To me that's a core element of open.
