Srsly, I need something like 'versioning for non-programmers' that isn't silo'd or centralized. And is easy/and/or automated. I just want versioned backups of things here and there, I'm not programming nor am I part of a team. I just write things.

@donblanco like touch typing, I think it's worth the effort to learn Git. Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to simplify things as you describe (optimal usability makes things as simple as possible, and no simpler)...

@donblanco it's hard to love Git, although it's not hard to appreciate its utility...
