It also demonstrates the privacy model: the app has a list of places I have been, Bluetooth beacons I have seen. That stays on my device. The MoH know my vaccination status. That stays on their records.

But they don’t know my location and my phone doesn’t know about my jabs.

Sometimes a total stranger with like 50 followers says an offensive thing and it is okay to just block them and move on rather than quoting their offensive thing to your entire timeline to show everyone how offensive they are

I wouldn’t eat Kellogg’s cereals made by scabs. There’s too high a risk that it would contain faeces.

Kellogg’s is openly “pre-hiring for strike replacement workers” who will “cross the picket line”.

Don’t cross the picket line. Protect the unions. Protect the workers.

Finding it hard to empathise with the maid in Maid because she just repeatedly does dumb stuff. Some is because she’s new to it or a first timer, but most of the time she’s making inexplicably stupid decisions. Plus the magical negro trope.

AI keeps failing, in situations it shouldn't even be deployed in, on the same kinds of vulnerable people, with no accountability & devastating consequences - including bankruptcy, false arrests and, yes, loss of life.

Today, that's what I'll talk about.
